Terms
Purchases:
I accept cash, check or money order.
For cash payment I will ship or deliver immediately.
For Check, Bank Draft, Money Order, etc., I will ship or deliver as soon as your check or money order clears my bank.
Commissions:
Once we have agreed upon a design, materials, finish, etc., a 50% deposit is required for me to begin work on your commission.
Your 50% deposit is fully refundable until I order materials for your piece.
(Most suppliers require pre-payment.)
Once materials have been ordered, your deposit will no longer be refundable.
I require the balance of payment, including shipping/freight, insurance and crating charges prior to delivery or shipment of your order.
Delivery - Installation
Delivery/Installation charges vary depending upon mileage, materials, time and equipment required.
Permits
Large public display pieces may require permitting due to local codes. Any required permits will be the responsibility of the buyer.
Crating for shipment:
Crating for shipment is essential for the protection of your piece while in transit to you.
Shipping or freight:
Pre-payment is required by the various shipping companies and will be billed at the rate charged by UPS, FEDEX or the freight line. A copy of the shipping bill - including insurance - and manifest will be mailed directly to you.
I always insure shipments - as a way to protect you. The carrier's insurance fee will be included in the shipping/freight charges and will be included on the shipping documentation I will forward to you. ( I want you to see what you've paid for. )
Damage in Transit
I have never had a piece damaged in transit - but I am told that it can happen. I do my packing and/or crating as if I was buying the piece.
In the event your piece is damaged by the shipper or carrier, the documentation provided will permit you to pursue reimbusement through the carrier's insurance program.
I will not be responsible for damaged or lost shipments. That is why I insist on insurance.
